House was originally a 2-room Sears "kit" house. Built in another unknown location, the house was moved to its current location in 1924 after the great fire in downtown Piedmont in 1923. The moved was prompted as the house became the temporary Piedmont Post Office, until a new location was built. At some time after indoor plumbing was a norm, the back porch area was enclosed and renovated into a kitchen, dining room, and bathroom areas. The house was renovated again in the late 1900's with a new roof, vinyl siding, central heat & air, upgraded electrical, and flooring. This house encompasses lot 14 & 15 of Block 29 in the Town of Piedmont, Canadian County, Oklahoma
