This one-bedroom, one bath apartment unit is on the ground floor of a small (four-unit) building... most of the current tenants have lived here for 10+ years as the building is quiet and we do all that we can to give our tenants peace and privacy and security. The apartment has hardwood floor (not laminate) except in the kitchen and bathroom where linoleum, in excellent condition, is installed. The unit has just been recently repainted, new knobs for the many cabinets, new bamboo shades to get you started on window coverings, new inside light fixtures, plugs, etc., and beefed up outside lights for security, and more. A new refrigerator, garbage disposal, light fixtures and more were installed within the last several months. This apartment has sun in the AM hours and is the most naturally cool unit in our building as its windows open to the East and North. Because this is an older building, sometimes the windows stick, sometimes the floor creaks, sometimes the doors stick. A new gas wall heater (thermostatically controlled) was installed a few months ago - but it makes little pecking noises too while it heats/cools. If these things bother you, we understand and this is not the place for you. Your neighbors are QUIET, hard-working individuals who will enjoy your joining us and enjoying the peace and harmony of our alley! P.S. A few things that may matter to some individuals... (1) your would-be next door neighborhood is a big smoker .. so if you are concerned with 2nd hand smoke, this isn't for you. (2) Also, there are 2 small steps up to the apartment ... a small porch area. So, if stairs are a problem, well, you get the drill! (3) ALSO... this is an alley ... meaning trash trucks and folks from other buildings go up and down .. if you get antsy from random, intermittent outside noises, again, probably not the place for you. You will need to pay First ($1,500), Last ($1,500) and a Security Deposit ($1,500) upon rental of the apartment -- a total of $4,500. Owner pays trash, water, gardening; tenant pays elec & gas. Parking space immediate to bldg which is on a short alley. No pets; ground floor apartment; older (circa 1958) building with certain charms requiring a quiet, charming tenant.
