This cabin is located in a very unique private community in Makanda, about 10 miles south of Carbondale. Members have access to approx. 300 acres. There is a large subdivision lake surrounded by scenic bluffs and old growth forest. Excellent fishing, swimming, kayaking and hiking. When you purchase a dwelling here you are buying the improvements only. You must apply for membership and be approved by the members. There is an initial membership fee of $500 and then annual dues per person which vary depending on whether you are a full time resident.
