Here are the things that we love about our apartment: - Quiet and sunny: Corner, top floor (6th) apartment, with south and western exposure, facing the courtyard of an elevator building with quiet and respectful neighbors. - Great closet space: Five large closets, including one in the kitchen, and two double deep in the foyer/dining area. - A cook's kitchen: The kitchen is 16 ft long, with more cabinet and counter space than you've ever dreamed of, with space for a desk or breakfast nook. 2-year old appliances: Samsung gas stove with double oven and LG refrigerator. - A large bright corner bedroom: Fits a queen/king size bed, a double-wide dresser, file cabinets, and two desks. - A great, well-maintained building: In a beautiful, very clean Art Deco co-op building with a live-in super and porter. Shady patio with benches and plants tended by some of the green-thumbed residents. - A great location: 8-minute walk to the A train 181st street station and a 15-minute walk to the 1 train 191st station, plus there are buses a block away on Broadway and Fort Washington Avenue. Also, there are 3 supermarkets/food markets within 2 blocks. - A short walk (or run) to two green spaces: Scenic Fort Tryon Park, with the wonderful Met Cloisters Museum and the Heather Garden overlooking the Hudson, and also Inwood Hill Park, Manhattan's original forest. Two window air-conditioners and less than a year old window shades in the bedroom, kitchen, and living room. Cats only. Absolutely no smoking in the apartment or the building common areas. Coop board approval is necessary. One-year lease, subject to renewal by the board. Earliest move-in dates are October 15th or November 1st Application must be made at least 30 days prior to the commencement of the sublease, renewal, or modification. Application fee: $350 Criminal background check: $175 We will pay for the credit check and interview fee. A refundable $500 move in deposit is required.
