This is a great neighborhood - neighborhood in the real sense of the word. People know eachother and help one another out. Every year, some neighbors set up a BBQ on their front lawn for trick or treaters, there are several art/craft fairs at the public library, and many events around the neighborhood, in general. Only a short walk to "hip" Manayunk and public transportation. 10 miles from Center City, Philadelphia make this neighborhood great for commuters (Public Trans, bikes, etc).
