It is on the hill with our windows looking West on Arlington's skyline, and giving a chance to watch some spectacular sunsets, as it is the tallest building around. Entering the lobby decorated with the hints of Japan, you know it is not one of the cookie-cutter, off-the-shelf condos, but a thoughtful, tasteful, classy, and award-winning design. The building has controlled access, 24-hour security, and an always-staffed concierge desk. This is so helpful when the packages arrive, there is always someone to sign for them and hold them until you get home. Because most of the units are occupied by owners, there is a true sense of community in this building, and a wonderful staff that meticulously maintains it, and does so with a heart. The building features a 25-yard pool, great for swimming lapses or just relaxing, and an exercise room accessible 24 hours. Note, due to COVID-19, the access to these two facilities may be temporarily suspended or limited per state and city ordinances that can potentially change. You will feel safe and happy here, as our wonderful staff keeps the building spotless, meticulously maintained, and cleaned. All common areas get sanitized several times a day, keeping the invisible threats at bay. LOCATION: You would be living on a hill, literally a one-minute walk from Iwo Jima (part of a National Park). It offers a place to lounge on the grass, enjoy the spectacular view of DC (The Lincoln & Washington Monuments and Congress aligned in one frame attracting photography clubs from the area and beyond). On the 4th of July, those in on the secret come in to enjoy the best view of the fireworks show. Iwo Jima is where you can pick up the biking/running trail that connects to the trail system covering DC, Virginia, and Maryland. Along these trails, you can be on a National Mall by mile 2, and in Alexandria by mile 7, Bethesda is a pleasant 9-mile jog and you've earned your lunch. The trails are spectacular, well maintained, and safe. Running along the Potomac with the monuments of DC across the water is uplifting, and you never have to drive to get anywhere if you don't want to. Bonus: The Marine Corps Marathon finishes at Iwo Jima, right in front of your new home, how amazing is that? Honest and realistic 10-minute easy walk to Rosslyn metro station (or you can take a connector bus from in front of the building), where you may catch the blue, orange, and silver lines. One-stop to Foggy Bottom and George Washington University, 2 stops to the Pentagon, direct connection to DCA National Airport, and the 5A bus direct to IAD Dulles Airport. This same 10-minute walk gets you to Target, Safeway, CVS We used to walk to Georgetown University; it takes only 20 minutes to Car Barn. This is a very safe area, residential and quiet, and at 11 PM you can hear the Marines playing Taps by Arlington National Cemetery. If you desire a bit of nightlife or culture, walking to Georgetown provides the former, the Kennedy Center the latter. The safety of Virginia, the culture, the dining scene of DC, the unlimited trails, we do love this place and hope you will as well. Sorry, but absolutely no: pets, smoking, parties, loud music The floors need to be covered by rugs, they are brand new, natural seagrass, or you may bring your own Terms are negotiable for the right individual who will respect our property (HOA requires a minimum 6-month lease) Possibility of renting this unit as furnished or unfurnished We are glad to connect via Face Time, Zoom, Skype etc. to give you a live, virtual tour of the apartment.
