The fully furnished one bedroom apartment has lots a charm and character with its craftsman style and French doors to the porches; giving the unit a sense of being larger and grander. A washer and dryer units are for this unit alone and is in the garage below. The chaise lounge sleeps a quest comfortably. Utilities and WiFi are paid by the landlord. The carriage house is the rear of the main house which is located in the University Historic District. No vehicle is necessary as one is within walking distance of the University of Utah, TRAX Stadium Station, downtown and grocery stores. Also close by is the Pioneer Theater, UoU Fine Arts and Natural History Museums; and easy access to the mountains and the ski resorts. The carriage house was built in 1910. There is an 85 square foot porch off the living room with a nice view of downtown at night. The main house was used in the Stephen King movie, The Stand though they claimed the house was located in Boulder Colorado. The rooms are compact; however, there is a bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room and bedroom with a queen size bed. The UTA TRAX line runs down 500 E so at times there is traffic noise. The unit is on the second floor, so stairs access is required, and one has to be able to step into a clawfoot tub to shower. This is not to be used as a party house, it best serves as residence to a grad student or professional individual. Rent includes furnished unit with the utilities and WiFi paid by the landlord. This is not to be used as a party house. Parking is on the street only along 1200 E or Douglas Street. The utilities are included as is WiFi. A cleaning fee and a non-refundable fee totaling $300 is taken from the security deposit of $1650. Acceptable applicants will be screened prior to approval and there is a fee the service provider charges, that the applicant has to pay.
