Swan Lake Estates was originally developed as a recreational country club community in the mid-1950’s. The acreage was divided into fifty foot lots encircling a ninety acre lake. The fifty foot lots were too small to build permanent residences on, so owners either sold their property or bought additional lots for added space. The community had been originally planned for week-end use but soon developed into a year round residential area. Swan Lake Estates location in northern Henry County makes it an ideal suburb of Atlanta.
