Miniblinds: Do not pull cords outwards or mechanism will chew cords. Cords on left side open and close slats. Cords on right side pull them up and down. To pull them up and down make sure slats are straight (open), grab both cords and and pull to the left and inward. To lock, swing cords to the right. Quartz Countertops and dining room table: please do not put anything hot on the counter or table directly; use a trivet or a placemat or it will ruin the surface (yes, even the quartz stone will be damaged by heat). Other wood furniture: Please be careful not to put drinks or anything wet on the wood. Gas Grill: To light, make sure gas valve on the tank underneath is on. Turn the burner knob to the "Light" setting and repeated push the igniter until the desired burner is lit. Once lit, turn knob to desired level. Once you're sure its lit, move to the next one. Instructions on how to fill tank: open doors, turn off gas valve on the tank, unscrew hose from tank using big black nozzle, remove tank, take it to gas station (they have propane on the mesa gas station). They will fill it for you. Reverse instructions to replace. Piano: Please do not put any liquids on top, and be very careful with it. Fireplace: Use only gas! (Despite what appears the previous owners attempted, the fireplace and chimney are not licensed for any kind of solid fuel (wood, firelogs, or anything). Make sure flue is open, turn gas on, light. Gas is expensive, so be sure to turn it off when done. Bathrooms: Do not use any kind of abrasive cleaners on the tile - especially the hexagonal blue tile in the downstairs shower. Hardwood floors: Please heed all warnings and care from the manufacturer: - Do not wear spiked heels on the floor, which will damage even the hardest wood floors and finishes. - Pet claws should be properly trimmed at all times. - Work boots and shoes that may have pebbles lodged in the soles should be removed prior to entering. - Sweep or vacuum frequently. Most damage to wood floor finishes is caused by debris that is walked on. - All mats or rugs should be cleaned on a regular basis. They should also be moved occasionally to allow natural color changes caused by light to occur evenly in all areas. Do not allow soiled mats or rugs to stay on the floor as they can trap moisture on the surface. - Never wet-mop your floor, and always clean up spills and standing water as soon as possible. With oil-finished floors, water left for prolonged periods may cause water-spotting. With water or any other cleaning agent, be sure to thoroughly ring out the applicator or mop prior to applying it to the floor. Use only the special floor cleaner tool (looks like a lightweight upright vacuum - but it has specific floor cleaning fluid in it)
