We are two professors who will be on leave for fellowships over the coming academic year (August 2025-June 2026) and renting out our beautiful and large St. Roch house (1 block from Marigny, 1 block from St. Roch Market. Move in/out can be flexible but as soon as June 1 potentially and as late as August with 2026 move out also being flexible from June-August). House is a historic 1870s sidehall. Was featured on Apartment Therapy right before we bought it in 2021. Current layout is 2 bedrooms, 2 offices (one with futon which can easily be turned into a third bedroom, other office could be another bedroom as well). All rooms independent (not shotgun style). Living room, brand new kitchen with new appliances, cabinets and breakfast bar. Laundry room. 2 bathrooms, one with antique clawfoot tub, other with shower. Hardwood floors throughout. Huge back porch and lush, brick courtyard. New, very efficient central a/c. All furniture is nice and higher end. Families welcome, pets welcome. Backyard is great for dogs. Great, friendly block, quick walk to everything in the Marigny and easy bike/walk/bus ride to French Quarter/Bywater/CBD. Some pictures included are from when we bought it-our stuff is nicer! Can do zoom or in person viewing with current layout and furniture for serious inquiries. We are not making any money here, just trying to cover our mortgage and hopefully finding some folks who want a beautiful house for the year and can take care of it!
