    What's special

VICTORIAN HOME! MAKE YOUR DREAMS A REALITY Home features a beautiful central staircase with a large landing between floors...several original fire places, original heart pine floors & doors, crown molding as well as many other period details...must see to appreciate! The house actually has 7 bedrooms, all with closets so they are actual bedrooms. Only one bedroom in the home doesn’t have a fireplace and that is in bedroom #2 because they added a bathroom and had to remove the fireplace. The house has 9 fireplaces in total and the fireplaces are 1890’s true Victorians. The fireplaces upstairs are different from the ones downstairs and no two are alike. The house was built in 1902 but the kitchen was added in 1920. They didn’t have a true kitchen before then because there was a servants headquarters out back. The stairs in the home used to go straight down but sometime before 1965, the landing and second part of the stairs was added. The top porch used to be accessible and sometime before 1965 it had a set of stairs that ran down from it to the ground so that it could be used as a second entrance to the home. The wall scones in the living room are original to the home and sill have the original wiring, The upstairs schoolhouse light fixtures are original to my knowledge. The upstairs used to be open before they added the bathroom and closed it off. It was closed off before 1965 and that was probably done for heating and cooling purposes. A wall was added and then removed at one point where the second set of stairs are. The columns in the living room were added after construction of the home but I do not know when. All of the doors and door fixtures are original and are in great shape. The door to the top porch is different than the two on the bottom porch and it is more detailed. There are transoms above every bedroom door and even the dinning room door. All of the molding around doors and throughout the house are original. And of course, so are the heart pine floors! The home has two magnolia trees, one weeping willow, two dogwoods, two apple trees, fourteen pecan trees, a pomegranate tree, two peach trees, a plum tree, and I am sure I have forgotten a few! There are several hydrangeas, azaleas, gardenias, and hawthorn plants as well
