Key points: This is a monthly furnished rental available after November 1. Adults must be vaccinated to access the shared laundry room. You'll be renting directly from me, a New Orleans native not a management company. The building had virtually no damage from Ida, thanks to the metal roof. Rent half of a 19th century duplex located in The New Marigny, a National Register Historic District created in 1810 that is now a section of Faubourg St. Roch. This apartment was recently renovated with a new kitchen (including a new gas stove and french-door fridge) and back porch. The house has central A/C and heat and unlimited hot water from a modern tankless water heating system. In addition to the bedroom and kitchen/living area, there is a middle room that could be used as a bedroom or office. Without walking more than 3 blocks, you can experience food from a handful of various vendors at St. Roch Market, enjoy fresh donuts at Jamboree Jams, stroll along the oak-lined St. Roch Avenue pedestrian pathway, grocery shop at The New Orleans Food Co-op, and eat & drink at multiple restaurants and bars. A few blocks down St. Claude, there's AllWays Lounge, Carnaval Lounge, and HiHo Lounge each with entertainment nearly every night. Our favorite activity, however, is simply walking through the streets of The Marigny, enjoying the cute homes and lovely neighbors. Getting around: - 7 minute walk to the Streetcar (temporarily offline due to Hard Rock Hotel disaster) - 15 minute walk to Frenchmen Street - 20 minute walk to Bourbon Street - Quick Lyft/Uber to anywhere else in the French Quarter - Automated bike rental station 2 blocks away (Relaunched August 2021!) - Plenty of street parking Water, electricity, gas, and wifi are included, within reason. Landscaping and glass recycling service are also included.
