The house is in a great location that makes access to the city and its amenities easy. The drive up Hwy 69 is quick, and the traffic is low. The pond is stocked with fish, and it is effortless to pick a couple of worms out of the yard and catch fish all day long. We have been feeding deer ever since we moved in, and we see deer come through our yard regularly. The pond is naturally fed through a natural spring which makes the water crystal clear. This allows for many different fish species to live and thrive. There are blackberries and asparagus that grow in the yard, and we spend the early summer going out and harvesting them. There is enough land to have our goats, chickens, and turkeys. Our dog runs the land and gets plenty of exercise swimming in the pond. The kids have built a fort in the woods and spend the autumn and winter exploring the woods and creek. The walnut trees drop plenty of walnuts for the whole family and many more. We have never felt like we didn't have enough land to do all of the things that we want to do and more.We have worked hard on replacing major systems in this house to make it as energy-efficient as possible. The geothermal and solar systems work great to reduce energy bills. The geothermal HVAC system has dramatically increased the house's comfort level from the old heat pumps we did have. The house has enough space for entertaining. During a party, we had around 50 kids and 38 adults. The kid's bedrooms are huge, and the master bedroom has plenty of room to turn it into a very peaceful space.
