Bramblefields Farm (final 1245 County Route 519, Kingwood and Alexandria Townships Bramblefields Farm: An Outstanding Equestrian Property A long tree-lined drive leads to the heart of Bramblefields Farm, a landmark equestrian property situated on over 110 acres in Kingwood and Alexandria Townships. If privacy and sweeping countryside views are of interest, this peaceful setting offers it all. Scenic miles of trails and wide paths crisscross the vast acreage, meandering through open and wooded portions and across streams. Fishing, hiking or riding; there is seemingly no end to the recreational opportunities afforded in this visually stunning environment. The driveway approach past windswept pastures, schooling areas and an outdoor riding ring leads to this homestead and farm complex. This drive splits to separate the home from the farm buildings. The infrastructure is extensive. A classic circa 1810 Kingwood stone house overlooks a spring-fed pond and gazebo. Beautiful trees, flowering shrubs, stone walls and bluestone patios create informal garden spaces in which to entertain or just relax. Carefully created vistas have been maintained in every direction by the planting of ornamental tree rows to provide seasonal color. Care has been taken to screen the utilitarian farm areas from view. While the home is of Early American heritage, the ceilings are of normal height. Elegant formal rooms, three period fireplaces, wide board pine floors, deep-set windows and lovely millwork reflect character and charm. Many modern updates were added through the years: in 2015 and 2016 they included Marvin windows, a new wood shake roof, copper gutters and HardiePlank exterior and trim were added to the clapboard portion of the main house. In 2016, two units of air conditioning were installed. Accessed by two staircases, the second floor has four bedrooms, bonus space in the form of a loft studio, an adjoining den/office, and two full baths. Built in 2016, a two-story, 600 square-foot three-car garage is adjacent to the home. A sheet rocked second floor was planned as a future guest apartment. It has roughed-in plumbing, electric and water. The views across meadows are quite a treat from this space. Apart from the main house is the equestrian facility which is comprised of ten stalls around a courtyard including a cottage and an apartment. The main barn has a standing seam roof, a bathroom, tack room, wash stall, a fly spray system and an oversized hot water system and 200 Amp electric servicing these buildings. Across the way is a shed row four-stall HardiePlank clad building and additional supporting buildings. Set apart is the 180 x 70-foot cedar shake clad indoor arena with an attached 20-foot rear extension for machinery storage and future stalls. There are two wells and three meters on the property. The charming riverside villages of Frenchtown and Stockton, celebrated for their cultural centers and quaint downtowns, are nearby, as are recreational pursuits on the Delaware River. The Prall's Mill nature center and art center adds to the cultural climate. Summer concert series held in historical churches have long been part of the heritage of this region. Fine restaurants in Lambertville and New Hope are a short drive from this beautiful equestrian property.
