This house is 5 mi east of Elgin but in Fletcher school district. I teach at Fletcher (6 mi) and it is a fine, small Class A school. Since I've been there, we have had state championships in baseball, basketball, and academic team (which I coached). We go to state every year in something! This year w won 2nd in state in Girls softball. Small classes (my largest is 17), and we offer choir, FFA, FCCLA, girls softball, volleyball, basketball, and boys sports are baseball and basketball. An effort to start a soccer team is underway. Many teachers hold national certification accreditation and advanced degrees. We have a brand new state of the art library which is also available to the community, one of the nicest I've seen. For parents still desiring Elgin schools, you can request a transfer.
