The house is built on an engineered slab(Don Downs PE, Shreveport, LA). 30+ 18" x 8ft deep shafts were drilled into the soil and then filled with concrete and steel. On top of those, sit a web pattern of concrete and steel beams with steel tensioned cables that criss-cross the slab to provide more rigidity and strength. It was built to last! Water for the house is heated by a Rinnai tankless hot water heater......once you have one you will never go back to traditional HW heater. The beauty of it is you can literally take a shower forever and never run out of hot water! It also saves you money because it doesn't keep a tank full of water hot all day while you are at work/vacation/etc. Jeld-Wen premium vinyl windows keep the cool air in and the hot air out. A security system with touchscreen interface keeps your family and possessions safe.
