Hi! We have a very spacious and well-lit room available for $1600 a month plus deposit opening up June 1st for a 1 year lease. Electricity and utilities are split evenly and average between $200-300 a month/person depending on AC or heating use. One cat or dog under 35 lbs is allowed per the lease. The house is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom in San Jose's Willow Glen neighborhood. We have a big kitchen, an office (some of us work from home part-time) and entertainment space, a den, a garage, plenty of driveway and street parking, a fire pit, and a big backyard and front yard with a prolific avocado and lemon tree. Our house is queer friendly and covid conscious. We're a group of 4 STEM professionals and graduate students in our 30s. Two of our current housemates are moving out of state in June. We value respect and communication and are caring towards one another and the common spaces. We keep a generally tidy and clean house and have chore rotations (trash, dishes, vacuuming, watering the plants outside, etc). This isn't a huge party house, but we welcome dinner parties or the occasional party out in the backyard. One of the tenant's mom lives in a separate ADU in the backyard (it's the long building in the backyard pictures). She's nice and keeps to herself and doesn't mind any backyard shenanigans. Some of our hobbies include guitar, hiking, surfing, snowboarding, gaming. Our rental lease is through Apartments .com so you need to be able to provide W2's, pay stubs (or a job acceptance letter), and do a background check to join the lease. There is a minimum total house income of 3x the total monthly rent of $4500.
