Thousands of apples, a wood stove, and a ten-minute walk to the water. Our furnished home (1800 sq ft) is available from August 15, 2026 to August 1, 2027, while we're abroad. Single story, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a light-filled living room with a wood stove, and a carpeted room that's served as music room, dance floor, and playroom depending on the day. All major appliances, washer and dryer, plus an extra freezer. (Private detached office for the telecommuters available upon request.) Heat pump and two mini-splits provide heating and cooling, or use the wood stove (some firewood on site) if you prefer. Lots of off-street parking. By "furnished" we mean our minimalist furniture, lamps, window dressings, and kitchen tools. Dishes, sheets, and towels are available if you want them. Plenty of closet space for all your essentials. The front yard includes an 18-foot radius outdoor living room surrounded by a 6-foot border of edible and medicinal plants. The back yard is full of fruit trees, a fire pit, a bench swing, and an outdoor kitchen. Figs and grapes on the front porch. The apples alone will keep you in pie, cider, and sauce from late summer through fall. A friendly gardener comes every two weeks for yard care and maintenance (that's arranged and paid for), so the garden is yours to enjoy and not yours to manage. Harvest freely. From the front door: - 10 minutes on foot to the beach at Dungeness Landing County Park - 10 minutes to Dungeness River access for year-round cold dips, seasonal fishing and salmon watching - 15 minutes to a giant eagles' nest - 15 minutes to Dandelion Botanical Company, an excellent herb store and gift shop In general, it's a magical area. ** Terms: ** One-year lease, no extension possible (we're coming back to our paradise!). No smoking, no pets. Owner pays for a biweekly maintenance/lawn person.
