This is such a fun, peaceful and private Lake House in a location that can't be beat (Leschi). This is a month-to-month rental and is available until July, when I return home from working in Portugal. The Lake House has a large waterfront dock with kayaks, SUPs and a giant water trampoline great for lounging with a glass of wine, jumping around on, or just napping. Luckily, the dock has a huge boathouse (no longer allowed to be built on Lake Washington) with a 5k boat lift. The backyard is a fenced rose and fruit garden (blueberries, apples, grapes). There's also a nice deck with a grill off the back door and outdoor furniture to dine outside... The house has large windows in the living room and kitchen offering staggering views of the Cascades, lake sunrises, fishing eagles, Bellevue skyline, Christmas Boats and all you would expect. High ceilings and skylights in every room brighten the home. It's a great house, one of the charming few originals left on the shores of Lake Washington. Home is fully furnished and stocked. Month-to-month rent includes housecleaning twice a month to change linens, clean, etc at your convenience. Yard maintenance is also included and will be scheduled. The new kitchen has new high-end appliances, countertops and cabinets including a double oven with air fryer, induction cooktop, "smart" microwave, Bosch dishwasher and it's fully stocked with essential gadgets for foodies (Thermomix anyone? Sous vide salmon?) Both bathrooms have also been updated. I have a wireless printer, a record player (if you are careful), a projector with Roku and most amenities you would expect to find. There are 3 bedrooms (2 full beds, 1 queen) plus a bonus upper nook that we call "The Nest" above the fireplace with a full mattress for sleeping or even used as a small office. This home is one of the few in Seattle with A/C in the event we encounter a rare heat wave. Requirement is for all renters to sign a safety waiver covering liability regarding the lake and any water toys that are used. A well-behaved dog is welcome but fur, dander, damages or smell will need to be professionally cleaned. I have Ikea covers for the sofa, so if they become in need of cleaning, they can be replaced from Ikea rather inexpensively. It is expected that the home be "de-dogged" before checking out (rid of smells, fur, etc) and that any damage be reported as soon as it happens. The kitchen is in "never-used" condition and my expectation is that counters be appropriately cared for, no scratches or stains, and any issues with appliances are immediately reported since they are under warranty. The monthly rates rise to summer rates ($5200) per month to cover increased expenses in running the home. Prospective tenants must provide screening and application on the Furnished Finder platform (or other to be discussed). Rent includes housecleaning twice a month to change linens and do floors, baths, etc. Yard maintenance is also included. Renters are required to keep kitchen in clean and "like new" condition and to report any damage immediately so it can be taken care of.
