Live across from UW Arboretum. Kayak, canoe, or fish on Wingra Creek across the street . Watch the sunset from your living room. Hop on the bike path across the street. A 15 minute walk to Vilas Park and zoo, 30 to 45 minute walk to UW campus or 10 to 15 minute bike ride, 1.5 to 2 miles to downtown (15 minutes by bike), 10 to 15 minute walk to hospitals, 5 to 10 minute walk to cafes, restaurants, grocery, and bars, 15 minute walk to Quann Dog Park, and a 3 minute walk to Midland Park. Plenty of sun in the backyard for gardening. Composting on site. Franklin/Randall, Hamilton, West High School school attendance area. Great neighbors! Dogs are welcome. Can be partially furnished if needed. The house is currently being rented by faculty on sabbatical at UW-Madison. Here is what they said they have enjoyed about living in the house: Beavers, Muskrats, Great Blue Herons, Sandhill Cranes and Great Egrets visible from the living room window (and upstairs rooms). Watching sunsets over the arboretum and Wingra Creek, as well as morning light on the marsh. Neighborhood including Tuesday neighborhood summer potlucks in Midland Park with everyone invited. The washing machine/dryer and the dishwasher (though we did not use it much). Lots of storage area. Back Porch (screened in) for eating outside. Good neighbors on all sides, responsive & consciences landlords. Energy efficient lights and furnace. Interior neatly painted. Walking across the road to put my kayak in the creek. We would consider less than a 6 month lease or up to 7.5 month lease if needed. In mid August, we are transitioning to a yearly lease.
