    My roommate and I are young professionals in our 20s and 30s, working 9-5, looking for a roommate for an English-style basement room with a private entrance and private full bathroom in my renovated 3-bedroom row house in Trinidad, just a few blocks from the nightlife on H Street. THE NEIGHBORHOOD My home is located near Trinidad Avenue and Neal Street NE. Trinidad is a bustling residential neighborhood with access to public transportation and a close walk to the H Street Corridor, known for its restaurant and bar scene, very close to Gallaudet University. My house is a 5-minute walk to H street, 1-mile walk to Union Market, 1.1 miles to the NoMa/Gallaudet University Metro Station, and 1.3 miles to Union Station. The D4 and D8 bus stop is less than 1 block from the house, and the X2, X1, X9 buses are a 5-minute walk away. Short walk to the 90 and 92 buses. Walkable score of 88, and bikeable score of 80. THE HOUSE Shared space includes open concept living room and dining room, kitchen, washer & dryer, deck, front porch, and garage. The 3-bedroom house is fully furnished with mid-century modern furniture, built-in bookcases, exposed brick, hardwood floors, granite countertops, and relatively new appliances. YOUR ROOM Your room is an English-style basement (730 square feet), fully furnished with a queen-size bed, dresser, nightstand, and room for other furniture. The basement apartment has a private entrance, private full bathroom with shower, and two small windows. Monthly Rental Fee: $1,300 Application Fee: $45 for credit check and criminal history check Security Deposit: 1 months' rent Cleaning Fee: $150 (Required to pay this fee prior to moving out or it will be deducted from the deposit) Lease Duration: Minimum of 3 months / Length are negotiable Utilities (water, gas, electric, internet, Netflix, no cable): Your share will be $100 each month. Parking: Plenty of on-street parking available for free. No pets (I have a sweet pit/lab mix that stays with me sometimes. She loves people, but she doesn't do well with other animals). No smoking, no hard drugs. ABOUT ME I'm the homeowner/landlord and I work at a national policy organization. I'm a pretty happy-go-lucky, friendly person, who enjoys reading, yoga, and bicycling. I travel often for work, and occasionally host friends at home. I am passionate about ending homelessness and promoting social justice. I like my home to be a relatively quiet, peaceful place. I'm looking for a roommate who is respectful and will help keep our home clean and welcoming to LGBT guests. INTERESTED?
