There is another cabin just a few feet away, and one down the hill between you and the water. It will be interesting for you to see how these neighboring cabins are being expanded. In the 1960's, this was a group of rental cabins. Around 1980, a couple subdivided off the cabins into separate "footprints". They built a few townhomes along to the water to the south of the property and a duplex bordering the Forest land on the south side higher on the hill. The 21 or so owners share the couple of acres of land and close to 300 feet of lake frontage, including a sandy beach area. Each property owner has the use of a boat slip along Shadow Mountain Lake. There is a shared dumpster for trash removal in the summertime. The $1000 per year association fee covers community water as well as show removal and trash removal. Nightly/weekly rentals are not permitted at The Harbor. Long term rentals (for a period over 30 days) are discouraged and would require board approval.
