    What's special

    Welcome to the beautiful town of Astatula. There is even a community boat ramp for access to Little Lake Harris just down the street. This cozy Colonial brick home features a HUGE lot, concrete driveway with room for 6+ vehicles and side entry 2-car garage. A new shingle roof was installed October of 2018. Since the 2019 purchase, this home has received several upgrades including, old installation removed and attic is now a conditioned space, updated pool, paint, light fixtures and fans (with remote controls), a smart water heater and Pelican water system, new cook-top, oven, new 10-year disposal, and dishwasher (that opens at the end of the wash for optimum drying). The plastic blinds have been replaced with Bali cordless wooden custom blinds. New 2-stage A/C system with smart thermostat, all new ducts and updated multi-room returns system, installed Feb 2020. The living room, which has a wood burning fireplace, allows for easy access to the pool (French doors coming in 2023). The scary fixture that was here has been traded for a fun replacement. The deck is great for grilling and the newly resurfaced and tiled 9-ft deep pool (now featuring lap lane marker tiles, turtle tiles, and sunshelf with umbrella/table insert) is an amazing place for a relaxing at-home retreat. There will be hammocks in the future. The enclosure has been completely rescreened and a giant double-door added (for access to bring in a new hot tub). A new shed (10 x 12, 10' high) was added late 2021. Updated and new bathrooms (toilets are already replaced) and closets, kitchen sink, stand-alone oven and cabinet, laundry room, and LifeProof flooring throughout will also be installed. The landscape has already been improved with some serious trimming and the addition of some new flowers and trees and magnolias (a staple of the Southern landscape). Stone walkways, outdoor patio with fire-pit, defined garden areas, fencing, and other landscape additions are also projected to create the amazing curb appeal that this home is capable of projecting. The new community center across the street has basketball/sports, vote there, and the park can be seen from there. I wrote this because, face it, there was not much good here when I arrived.
