Looking for a furnished home-away-from-home? Enjoy all western North Carolina has to offer with a home base in this comfy, clean, two-bedroom, one bath home with a full kitchen. Great for working from home or as a home-base. Tucked away in a small country neighborhood, and surrounded by empty lots, this brick ranch-style house is on a private lot with plenty of off-street parking. The house is located a mile from Interstate 40, fifteen minutes to the heart of trendy Asheville, and just five minutes to charming Black Mountain. You will have the entire house, basement laundry area, and yard. Swannanoa is a former mill town (Beacon Blankets). It is a sleepy little haven in the midst of the activity of the surrounding areas of Asheville and Black Mountain. The house was built in the 1960's and had one owner until we purchased it in 2018. We tried to keep the family home feel, while updating the amenities - like adding central heat and air. Should you want a night in, the kitchen is well-equipped and the dinner table is big enough to actually have a meal. The living room has soft, comfy furniture, and the Smart TV has a subscription to YouTubeTV (better than cable in our area) which gets local channels as well as an assortment of sports, kids, and other channels. The bedrooms have new mattresses and the towels are thick and thirsty. There are several restaurants within a few miles and you are fifteen minutes from the culinary delights of downtown Asheville. Blue Ridge Parkway access is between the house and downtown Asheville. Tenants have access to the basement to use the washer and dryer. We do use a locked room in the basement for storage, and (rarely) access it from the outside entrance (we live about 20 minutes away). We will mow the lawn. Not available until January 3, 2022. Month to month or longer lease. All utilities included. Any electric bill excess over $150/month will be charged to tenant (average bill is $100/month). $150 cleaning fee paid in advance with refundable deposit. Please send message with your phone number for a conversation to set up a tour. Tours cannot be scheduled through apartments.com - and the site won't allow us to turn off that feature.
