Enjoy the back patio with a cup of coffee, the fire pit with stumps to sit on and roast s'mores, and the fresh organic eggs from our chicken brood near the back of the property. And when you're ready to head back to civilization, restaurants and shopping and groceries are minutes away, Denver 20 minutes, Boulder 30 minutes, and multiple ski resorts only 1.5 hours. The Farmhouse is a family and kid-friendly place. We also have little ones who love to dig in the sandbox, play on the play structures, run in the grass, sit by the fire, and talk with the chickens. We know your family will enjoy it as well! We have plenty of room to sleep 8 at the Farmhouse with three bedrooms and two full baths. Here are descriptions of each room and space to help plan your stay: Bedroom 1 Master bedroom with a comfy queen bed with a view to the south and a Pottery Barn couch/futon that is on the firm side and is probably best suited for kids. There are built in drawers and three closets for plenty of storage. Bedroom 2 Comfy queen bed with a view to the east, along with a tall dresser and closet for hanging clothes. Bedroom 3 Above the kitchen facing north, a spacious area with comfy queen bed, low dresser and large walk in closet. Upstairs Bathroom Two sinks along with a tub/shower and plenty of space. Hidden Fort your little ones will figure this one out quickly, there is a surprise upstairs in the closets . Downstairs Bathroom Full bath with stand-up shower. Kitchen Cozy space to cook a full meal, or just get that morning coffee going with a view to the north of the property. Fully featured with; oven, stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, and dishwasher. Fully stocked with; stainless steel pots/pans, cooking utensils and knives, cutting boards, mixing bowls, plates/dishes/silverware, and kid's plastic cup/plates/silverware. There may even be s'mores supplies hiding out as a special treat. Dining Room space for 8 or more right off the kitchen with tons of natural light. Reading Nook Two bean bag chairs and a selection of kids books to cozy in and enjoy. Family Room Comfortable leather couch and love seat, recliner chair, and rocking chair to enjoy conversation or a movie on the large TV/DVD from our selection of family-friendly movies. There is also space for a blow-up mattress. Laundry Washer and dryer available for your use along with laundry detergent provided. Back Patio Covered patio for relaxing, enjoying the view of the property, cooking a meal on the natural gas grill, or enjoying dinner and watching the Colorado sunset over the mountains. Yard Plenty of space to run and play with a swing set and climbing structure, geodesic climbing dome, play airplane, and outdoor mud kitchen. Baby/Kid Items We have available for use; baby high chairs, baby bath tubs, pack-n-play cribs, toys, and an assortment of family-friendly books and movies to enjoy. Just let us know if you need anything set out and ready for your stay. Fresh Organic Eggs Daily supply from our brood in the chicken coop that you are welcome to collect and use! Since we are family-friendly we don't allow parties, recreational drugs, or smoking in the house or on the grounds. We also ask that our guests are quiet by 10:30 pm out of respect to the neighbors. The Farmhouse remains a quiet reprieve and breath of fresh air. Come on by, enjoy the peace, and explore a bit of history at our small slice of heaven in west Arvada. We look forward to hosting you at the Farmhouse, and hope it is a blessing for your stay in Colorado! Fully furnished house. Owner will cover water, renter covers gas and electric (2021-22 season was $250/mo). No smoking allowed, and no recreational drug use. Parking onsite for 3+ cars, but no covered parking or garage. Open to 2 or 2.5 month lease.
