Available August 1, 2026 We are an eco conscious, empty nester couple with a sweet dog who have created a living space for ONE non-smoking person, with NO PETS in our sunny garden level basement. Rent includes bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, shared laundry facilities, utilities and WiFi. Rent does not include any other areas in the basement. Our desks are on the other side of the carved wood screen. But we're hardly ever in the basement. Our beautiful home is in south Boulder in a quiet, safe neighborhood walking distance to shopping, the south boulder rec center, trails, and the bus. This is a great situation for a CU student. The entire basement has brand new flooring (now plank instead of the carpet that is shown), new paint, the bathroom has been completely remodeled, and there is a large kitchenette. The bedroom is very spacious at 12 x 12 and has a large west facing garden level window with a view of the mountains. The kitchenette has a large countertop with a bar stools and enough space for you to eat and work. There is a microwave, Air Fryer, crockpot, hot water kettle, NutriBullet blender, magnetic conduction plate, medium sized refridgerator and all other essentials like cookware, plates, silverware, etc. The sink is in the adjacent laundry room. There is no window near the cooking area, nor is there a fan, which will limit the type of cooking you can do consistently. However, you are welcome to use the grill in the back yard as well as occationally use our oven upstairs. The house is split-level and when you're in the entryway you can go directly down a half flight of stairs to the basement so it's a somewhat private entrance. The basement is where my husband and I have our desks though we're rarely down there. If my husband is down there he might use the bathroom, so it's not a 100% private bathroom, but 99.9% private. We also have a spacious backyard, table & chairs and a grill that you are welcome to enjoy. I have chemical sensitivities so our tenant needs to use all natural laundry detergent, no dryer sheets, all natural dish soap and not wear any chemical based perfumes, lotions or use any air freshener. No candles unless it's a small meditation candle that is used for a short period of time. Our tenant needs to be very clean and be responsible for cleaning up after themselves. The basement is a shared space and needs to be kept tidy. You can keep your room as you desire though I don't want anyone eating in the bedroom. We have a housekeeper who comes every two weeks. She will be cleaning the bathroom, the countertop, and vacuuming your bedroom when she is here. The weeks she is not here you will need to clean your toilet and sink and be consistent with this. We are looking for someone who keeps reasonable hours and who is not a partier. We are not 420 friendly. Wanting a housemate who is responsible, respectful, considerate, and a good communicator.
