We updated this home in 2014. We added closet space, ceiling insulation, and hardwood floors. We renovated the kitchen and bathroom. We've added HVAC and replaced the roof. All windows have been updated as well. We also updated the exterior aesthetically in 2019. This has been our home for 8 years, and we've enjoyed living here. The house feels large because of the 9-foot ceilings. The rooms isolate sound well because of the beadboard in the wall. The beadboard also makings hanging anything very easy. The interior feel is a combination of vintage and modern. We kept little touches of the original home like the solid 5-panel doors. But when we renovated we updated the shower/tub with slate tile and replace the pantry with a laundry room. The pantry space loss was more than made up for by a kitchen full of floor and wall cabinets. The home sits on one side of a rectangular half-acre lot. The yard provides us with ample space for gardening, pets, and shaded play areas. The outbuilding, though dated, provides extra storage space and a great place keeping for tools, mowers, etc.
