Quiet neighborhood and everyone looks out for each other. Everyone encourages each other to keep properties cleaned up so our values stay consistent. Most in neighborhood make considerable improvements to properties. Southwood drive is privately owned and not maintained by the town, although we do have a wonderful neighbor who is always grading the road and it is never bad (even in the worst conditions). The house is nestled into the mountain and is never in danger of any flooding. The entire property is fenced and 3/4 is fenced in the immediate back yard, so there is plenty of safe play space for children and pets. The house has both alarmed and camera security system on every door and window (and all views into house) and is secure. School buses run near house for both elementary (Route 66/Estancia Valley Classical Academy) and junior high (Edgewood Middle School). High School is Moriarty High School. We have no registered sex offenders in the area for a good while!!!!! People have been respectful and it’s a quite neighborhood. Property is horse friendly and has both meadow and woods. Garden space and cemented patio. New metal roof (12/2017) and matching 3/4 enclosed carport big enough for a truck. Beautiful sunsets and very close to grocery, gas and freeway access (without the noise).
