About the Room: Spacious & Bright: The room features three windows that let in lots of natural light and offer a partial ocean view. Ample Storage: There's a large walk-in closet for all your belongings. While there's no additional storage beyond the room, you're welcome to store a bike or surfboard in the garage. Furnishings Included: The room can be furnished with a queen-size bed, two dressers, a nightstand, and a standing desk. Private Bathroom: Your private bathroom with tub is conveniently located just outside your bedroom door. About the House: Shared Spaces: You'll share the home with a friendly female housemate in her early 30s who works full-time for a local nonprofit. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, and high-speed internet all included in your rent. Large TV and couch in the living room. Location: Our townhome is close to Cabrillo College, the beach, and the forest. You'll be within a 5-minute walk of great local spots like Ambrosia Indian Restaurant, Manuel's Mexican Restaurant, Castelli's Italian Deli, Pizza My Heart, and Sno-White Burgers. About Us: We're a family that spends our winters in the Dominican Republic. I work full-time for a local Santa Cruz nonprofit, and my partner is a surf photographer. We have a teenage son and a toddler daughter, and we love the balance between our time here and island. We are simply renting the room as to not have to pay for 2 homes at once. Rental Details: Rent: $1375 /month (includes all utilities and high-speed internet). Couples are welcome for an additional $100/month to cover extra utilities. Deposit: A refundable $1,000 security deposit is required, along with prorated rent for October depending on your move-in date.
