This is the friendliest and safest neighborhood I have ever lived in. There are always people out walking; day and night. There are a number of beautiful parks and walking trail through the largest park along Grand Blvd. We have our own police dept. and fire dept. that has the ability to be at any house in less than a minute of calling 911. Children enjoy riding their bikes to the plaza, which is a half mile from my house, where they can have an account and sign for breakfast or lunch at the old fashion lunch counter in the drug store. In the summer time a band plays every Thursday night in a gazebo in Kite Park and on July 4th neighbors gather at the park with decorated cars and bikes for the annual neighborhood parade. Nichols Hills is probably the most desired neighborhood in Oklahoma City and is close to shopping malls, private schools, and the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. My lot is a third of an acre which means there is lots of room for expansion!
