Our group of roommates has a room available in our large (approximately 3,800+ sq ft) house just across Highway 44 from Soulard. The room is located on the second floor, has tall ceilings, and is carpeted. There are two full baths on the floor, as well as the laundry room with washer and dryer. The house itself boasts a common living room, kitchen with newer appliances, three car garage, 3.5 baths, unfinished basement for extra storage, central heating and cooling, and a large fenced yard with a hot tub. The location is ideal for anyone wanting the fun and excitement of Soulard living without the mess and noise. The house is on the end of a quiet residential street but a short 5 minute walk across the highway (via an elevated pedestrian walkway) brings you to the top of 9th st and the entry to the Soulard Market. Less than a block down the street you'll find Epic Pizza, iTap, Mission Taco, Llweyens, and much more. Going the other direction from the house takes you on a quick 10-15 minute walk to downtown where you can enjoy a baseball game at Busch, a night out at Ballpark Village, or one of the many restaurants. The three of us currently living here consist of two young professionals, female and male (I work in finance and the other in a government position) and one male SLU med student. We're all in our twenties and enjoy having a good time while staying respectful of one another. Two cats live here and one Lab will be moving in come August, so unfortunately we cannot accept any other pets. This is a no smoking premises. Rent is $340 and utilities usually average about $60-70 a month, with spikes up to around $90 in the heat of summer or cold of winter.
