Spend this Winter in The Rockies! We offer a Lakefront 2-bedroom - $1,300 per month plus said utilities Custom Wood Cabin on Vallecito Lake close to Durango Colorado. Nothing but trees and a deer trail down to the shoreline. The lease is from November 1st, 2025 - April 30th, 2026. The first month's rent is due as soon as a lease is signed and we ask for a two-month security deposit ($2,600) when the lease begins. Sunny, gourmet kitchen with kitchen nook and window seating, and a full bathroom off the kitchen. The cabin is furnished with comfortable Colorado decor. Two bedrooms with queen beds, living and dining rooms offer high-beam ceiling, fireplace (esthetics only) double glass doors that open to a large wood deck that boasts gorgeous views of the lake. We supply Starlink and water. The tenant(s) will be responsible for propane, electricity, trash, and any needed snow removal on deck and will pay share for dirt road to be cleared when needed. We have two cabins on a 1/3 acre lakefront parcel. We are looking for 1-2 people with good credit, work, and rental references. No smoking. We can not accommodate more than two persons as we are on septic and need to be gentle on the system. Durango is a 30-minute drive in the summer, and extra time must be accounted for commuting to work with snow. The 501 (the major road) is plowed, but the clearing of the dirt road is maintained by people in the neighborhood (including you). All-wheel or four-wheel is required, and snow tires may be helpful. Ideally, you enjoy solitude, quiet, and time surrounded by nature. To pass the time, you may take to winter fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing (there is a well-maintained Nordic Track at the lake), and cozying up with a great book.
