Built as a two-room homestead in the late 18th century, expanded to its current size in 1864 in "boarding house "style with distinctive Victorian features. Used in the first part of the 20th century as guest house as part of summer colony of young and aspiring artists who came to the area for it's rural beauty. The house has been in the same family for 40 years and was recently restored to undo a 1970's "modern" renovation to the rear of the house. The attached picture is no longer current.
