This "mother-in-law" has a separate entrance but our dog-door is located in a common stairwell so tenant would potentially see a tiny mutt walking by. We also provide a shared full-size washer/dryer located in the unit and would need to schedule a weekly window when we could come down and use it. In other words, the unit is completely separate but we share a dog, laundry and utilities. We even have some leftover furnishings and rugs you could borrow if you wish and supplement this "unfurnished" apartment with. Because we live so close (above the unit) we are looking for a low-impact quiet renter and discourage nearby university students from even applying. No smoking and no pets. Parking is on street but under well-lit lights. Basic utilities are paid - heat, water, garbage, and high-speed internet. Utilities are an add-on per person because of expected usage per person. Shared laundry. No disposal and no dishwasher in unit. Strong antenna TV hookup but no cable (gig internet allows streaming). Strong mount for flat-screen already on wall. Lease is standard and simple year-long contract then renews as month-to-month.
