My roommate will be moving out of our townhouse in Centreville, VA near Oday Drive on May 31, 2025 and I am looking to find someone looking for a place to rent on or around June 15 for a one year lease. I am offering a single person (no couples/families) two private bedrooms with a private bathroom in a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath three-level townhome up for rent in a quiet townhome community with a community pool, tennis & pickleball courts, walking trails, twice weekly trash removal and quick and easy access to major highways like 29, I-66, and 28. As a renter, you would be given your own personal parking space and have access to the entire home. Any additional parking for guests is easily available on a nearby street. This home includes stainless steel appliances, granite kitchen countertops, a back deck, enclosed backyard, partially finished basement with ample storage, and a new HVAC system and water heater as of 2021. I also have a fairly nice TV set up in the living room if you're into that. I'm fairly quiet as a roommate, relatively clean (though may wait till the next day to clean some dishes), and a reliable working professional. I enjoy concerts, comic cons, a good drink, and traveling. Got a Greece trip planned this year and I can't wait! I work from home twice a week, and tend to arrive home early to work remote the other three days. I occasionally enjoy cooking but nothing fancy, play video games, and binging Netflix. My hope is to find someone who is able to mutually respect each other's space, and to equally maintain the common spaces to an extent (i.e. dishes, vacuum/mop, lawn). The monthly cost of rent would be $1,250 excluding utilities which we would split evenly (water, gas, electric & internet). Water comes quarterly and is roughly $180 per quarter, gas and electric are monthly and fluctuate depending on the season with one normally around $45 and the other around $100 during periods of extreme heat/cold, and internet is $40 split two ways with your share sent directly to me on the first of the month. Since the cost is split between us, this would come out to roughly $93 in utilities (gas, electric & internet) per month, with water at roughly $90 per quarter, or $123 (gas, electric, internet & water) if you plan to budget for water each month. No pets. The house is furnished, but you will need to provide your own bedroom/office furniture. I have furniture throughout the rest of the house so additional furnishings are not needed/wanted. Background check, proof of income, credit check and references will be required. I can be flexible depending on the situation, but at the end of the day having a reliable roommate/tenant will be necessary.
