Annual lease fee is $1,753, transfer fee (one time)- $1,302. Basically the structures on the land are owned by the seller, but the land itself is leased to the seller by the US Forestry Service. This process can take some time. the funds to close are placed in escrow with the title company and the buyer makes application with the Forestry Service to transfer the special use permit. The transfer is approved and sent to Tallahassee to be signed and returned, which can take weeks. The funds are disbursed and keys delivered to buyer when the permit comes back.
