Usually this apartment "Michigan Style" is just over $1300 per month, but it you sublease it, you can save tons! My wife and I are moving to Iowa City and looking for somebody to take over our lease. There is still 7 months in the lease (it gets over at the end of February). The price per month is $1139 for the apartment. It has central air, washer and dryer in the unit, and is located on the 3rd floor (for that reason it is not a handicap accessible apt). Tenant sets up electric through the city (our average bill was about $70 per month. Water, sewage and trash are all done through the apartment complex and the those costs are added to your rent each month (our average for water and sewage was about $35 per month. You will also be required to have renters insurance and proof of renters insurance, The only other month to month costs would be if you had a pet (which is about $25 a month) or if you wanted a garage (which we have and recommend which is $75 a month). Because this is a sublease the contract is nice and short and the price is nice and low. It works the same as any other contract process. If you are interested you get in contact with the leasing office. Tell them my name (Jake Onken) and tell them you would like to fill out an application to take over my contract for the apartment located at 1485 fairway drive apt 302. They will charge you an application fee of $70 and what they call an administrative fee of $175, because they will run your credit and do a background check to be sure you are qualified. For this reason I recommend only applying if you are serious about taking over the contract. This will be first come first serve. By that i mean whomever fills out the application, pays the respective fees, and is being considered by the office will have my assurance that i wont allow anybody else to submit applications at the same time. If you do plan on applying, please contact me first. The easiest way to communicate with me is via text message because of my job (I get so many emails i may not get back to you, but if you text me i promise i will). Either myself, or my wife will need to be in the office with you in order to sign the appropriate paperwork and give our consent. If you would like to come look at my unit just let me know. I usually don't get home from work until 6:30, but weekends are usually pretty open and i'm willing to try to work with you otherwise. If you just want to see the general floorplan you could just go to the leasing office and say you want to see a "michigan style floor plan" that is their lingo for 2 bedroom 1 bath. The leasing office has much more availability than myself, but regardless you should be able to check out the apartments in some way. The unit pretty recently updated compared to many other units at this apartment complex. The location is very convenient, we are less than 1 mile away from Route 59 train station (I went downtown for school 5 days a week). We are also a few miles from Target, Costco, Meijer, and a plethora of restaurants. Our neighbors are great, the community is very friendly, and Naperville is one of the best places to live in the country.
