This home is AMAZING! Even if you're not a historical buff, this house will still intrigue you! The Hiram Palin Farm is on the historic registry, construction was completed in 1871. All of the bricks used for the home were made and fired right on the property. The lower cabinets in the kitchen are also original, along with the copper sink! The basement was used to hide slaves as part of the underground railroad. The woodwork is original and made from walnut and cherry. There is an interesting carving left in the banister from when the staircase was shipped over from France so the owners have left it in it's original condition to preserve it's historic value. There are 2 small areas that have been uncovered on a bedroom wall where the original owners signed the wall after initial skim coating of the plaster. Come in and embrace the history and ambiance this lovely home has to offer.
