ESCAPE TO THE MOUNTAINS: I was looking for gold in Downieville some 41 years ago. Eureka! I found it. I also found great landscapes, wonderful people, clean water and fresh air. I didn't find traffic lights, rush hours, parking meters or fines or any of the stresses larger cities are known for. If you are financially responsible, not on drugs of any kind, and not addicted to texting, video streaming, or (anti-) Social Media you CAN EXPERIENCE LIFE from a totally different and wonderful angle. You will be ecstatic to see live Deer, Raccoons, Bears, Squirrels, Hummingbirds, or crested mountain jays - NOT on your tablet - but in true live color and action. When I had a chance I bought 2 Mobile Homes, one for myself and one to rent out. It was the right decision because rents usually go only ONE way - UP! Consider this: 1-br rents in Grass Valley, CA jumped 68% over last year's rent TO $1,595, that is if you could get one. ESCAPE to the mountains away from this insanity, save some hard-earned money and live low key in an old Manufactured Home in this historic Gold Mining town. Only 17 miles away from the Lakes Basin of the Sierra Buttes with the most stunning views in the universe. Peace and quiet is yours for the asking. Pan for gold or visit the mining Museum at the Kentucky Mine outside of Sierra City, featuring an exact replica of the largest Gold Nugget ever found in California - The "Monumental Nugget" weighing in at about 103 lbs. You also can mountain bike many runs, or hike the many trails around town or do nothing at all. How great is that? Getting tired of looking at Raccoons or listening to live birds? Grass Valley and Nevada City are just about 45 miles close for a quick shopping trip. Reno and Lake Tahoe are about 90 minutes away. What's holding you back from renting the place next to me? I know, it's a Mobile Home, nothing to brag about to your in-laws. Perhaps you rent it a few months with bragging rights for the money you SAVED! Live YOUR OWN life. At $1100/month it's about $36/day - slightly more than pitching a tent on a campground in The Tahoe National Forest, but it is safe, secure, has hot and cold water, heat, AC. and W/D build in. $1,500 Security. I pay Water, garbage, and fix almost anything that could break. Look at the photos provided, decide to move, and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime. JUST DO IT and be totally amazed. This property would be great for a retired single person or retired couple. Max. occupancy: 2 persons. Email me with your phone # and some info about yourself & general situation. I will call you when I think you would qualify to rent this wonderful location in the lower mountains (elevation 2900'- 3,500'), surrounded by lush trees and 100 feet away from the (still) gold-bearing North Yuba River. Please NO OUT-Of-State inquiries. It's difficult enough to deal with inquiries from all over California. I'm only a 1-trick-pony show ;-)
