We hate to leave, but because we are, we are offering you the chance to experience our river view home! Tucked away, high on a Mississippi Bluff, in a park-like setting we see stunning, panoramic views through walls of windows, day and night; river boats, barges on the Mississippi, Bald Eagles. We reflect upon these along with the Nauvoo temple above historic Nauvoo even from our pillows. Come see for yourself!! In addition to the ever changing and calming views we are going to miss our new (2020) kitchen! We have Custom Wood Products cabinets, granite counter tops, a very deep sink, stainless GE appliances (gas range/oven, refrigerator and microwave) and a Bosch dishwasher. We will miss our new bathrooms too, especially the heated towel racks in both, and the Onyx shower in the ¾ bath. Exterior siding and double pane windows (new in 2016) keep our home tight. In the winter months we LOVE the added warmth and ambiance from our wood burning stove in the living room, often making it unnecessary to use the gas heat even on the below zero days. In warmer months the wrap-around deck affords stunning views while dining, with ample room for grilling and entertaining, and for watching colorful sunsets over the river. Our laundry room is on the main floor and the Maytag washer and dryer stay with the house. Our attached garage has added space for a workshop. Downstairs we have a partially finished room with closet which has worked well as a T.V./ game room as well as a place for guests to sleep. Another area of the basement, though a bit unusual, we find works well for an abundance of storage, and it does have walk-out door to the back yard. If you have kids in school, the Central Lee School bus picks up just two houses away. In truth our home is all about the views. Come see for yourself.
