This extremely bright and airy home is situated on a beautiful flat piece of property. There are lovely trees which insulate our home in the winter and it is shady in the summer. This allows us to have low utility bills. The land is a rectangle with the width to the front. It is so nice that another home could be built and who would know the difference. The home boosts nice size rooms with a home office with breezeway access to the street. It is so bright that I use it as a sitting room/library. The garage and breezeway was added by the previous owner so it allows our tax base to be much lower than if we had constructed it presently. The double garage is sheet rocked and has extremely high ceilings. It has been used for gatherings with the large windows. We have used it in the summer and pretended it was a large chalet in the woods. I have used it as an indoor running track and mountain biking in the winter when it was to cold to go out. We have a Generac that makes our home a fortress, new roof, new boiler, new water heater, new dryer, new dishwasher, and new updates when needed. Our bathroom upstairs has been modernized by Bathfillers a few years ago, and at that time, we updated the air condition units and added new windows where we felt it needed. We are a proactive family as you can tell with the Generac and when we moved in we made stone pathways and uplifted garden, but we also have drains at two places to the street to guarantee never a crisis. We did update the home and the family feels extremely fortunate to live here. Neighborhood Description This is a very quiet family oriented neighborhood with plenty for a family to do. An extremely nice block and I do agree that Tpwn of Ramapo is the best place to live (as per the Money Magazine).
