We currently are working on completing the renovation of a 1-bedroom/1- bathroom apartment, which will be available to rent by 11/29/24. The listing address is has a typo that zillow will not permit us to fix; it is 5 Old School House Road, not 15 Old School House Road. This apartment community includes five buildings (three buildings on Old School House Road (not including the onsite office) and one building steps away on Congers Road), large on-site parking lots, a community garden (spots available on request), and extensive grounds with blooming shrubbery and various fruit trees, shrubs and vines, The people that make up our community know each other, look out for each other - but also know how to maintain boundaries so that everyone can maintain their peace and privacy. During the spring, summer and fall, the folks that live here do take advantage of the grounds,the community garden, the bbqs, the picnic tables, chairs (and are more than welcome to set up an outdoor space that suits them (provided that it is done safely). This coming summer we hope to put out more adirondack chairs and a few hammocks. This 900 square foot apartment is on the first floor and opens up to a large living room with a bay window that overlooks a blue rose of sharon tree, a pink empress tree that smells great in the summer, colorful echinacea, a few pink rhododendron shrubs and hundreds of iris. The living room is large enough for an L shaped sectional in front of the working fireplace. The dining room was just renovated to add a LED ceiling light fan and is adjacent to the double sliding doors that leads out to the balcony which overlooks beautiful purple wisteria vines, more iris, berry shrubs, tiger lilies, rainbow color lilie, a red crepe myrtle and a pink crepe myrtle tree. The large bedroom is bright as it has two large doubled paned windows that overlook rock wall garden beds (or a grassy island within the parking lot with beautiful trees and flowers that bloom in spring and summer). We are just about finished renovating the kitchen as well. We installed a green/blue glass tile mosaic backsplash, stainless steel appliances (and we are waiting on the vendor to pick up and exchange the refrigerator which did not fit the space. The bathroom is roomy and has beautiful grey tiles on the floor and walls, with a tub/shower (with a handheld shower head), a modern vanity/vanity lights and a closet. In the hallway between the bedroom and bathroom, there is an alcove has a washing machine and gas dryer. The bedroom can fit a King/Queen size bed, nightstands and a dresser. We renovated the closet as well by adding a new light and a new closet system. The apartment also comes with an attached private garage that can fit 2 compact cars or 1 car/SUV and storage. Tenant(s) may also use one (1) parking space in the attached large parking lot. We show units here by appointment only.
