Modern Living in Downtown Mountain View Luxury House with Executive Style Furnishings, Great Vibe, and Prime Location 150 Calderon Avenue, Mountain View, CA 94041 Whether you are new to Mountain View or Silicon Valley, welcome. This house offers a great balance of location, comfort, and community, located right in the heart of downtown Mountain View, one of the most walkable and transit accessible neighborhoods in Silicon Valley. For applicants new to Mountain View or relocating to the area, the first section provides helpful information about the neighborhood and location. If you are already familiar with Mountain View, feel free to skip directly to the Frequently Asked Questions. ABOUT THE HOUSE AND LOCATION This house, built in 2012, is located in a newer residential subdivision directly across from the Mountain View Transit Center. The home itself is tucked around the corner within the subdivision, providing convenient access to Caltrain, Light Rail, buses, and major tech shuttles while maintaining a quieter residential setting. At just over 2400 square feet, this is a spacious, modern home with a noticeably more open feel than many older properties in the neighborhood. The house features crown molding, recessed lighting, large windows, upscale fixtures, and high-quality furnishings, creating an elevated and comfortable living environment. The neighborhood is calm and tree lined, yet located directly within downtown Mountain View. Castro Street, the heart of downtown, is just three short blocks away, with convenient access to shops, cafes, restaurants, entertainment, the public library, and parks. You are close to major employers including Google, Apple, Meta, Tesla, Nvidia, LinkedIn, and many other companies and startups throughout the area. The Stevens Creek Trail is just one block away, providing access to miles of greenbelt paths for hiking and biking. Everyday shopping is convenient, with Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and other grocery stores and retailers nearby. The house is set up for four individual residents. The owner also resides on-site in a separate bedroom. Residents are full-time working professionals with independent routines, helping maintain a stable, low-key, and respectful home environment. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) HOUSE EXPERIENCE & VIBE Q: What is the overall vibe of the house? A: Calm, respectful, and relaxed. Everyone has their own life, but the house feels warm, steady, and welcoming. Q: What kind of housemate are you looking for? A: Someone friendly, quiet, clean, respectful, considerate, and comfortable with the rhythm of a quiet professional household. The home is especially well suited to someone who primarily works outside the house. Residents generally keep cooking simple with light meal preparation, takeout, dining out, or meals provided at work. If you work remotely, just let us know your typical work-from-home schedule. Remote work is done from your private bedroom rather than the kitchen or kitchen dining area. Q: Is the household coed? A: The household may be coed depending on current occupancy. Regardless of who is living here, the atmosphere is respectful, comfortable, and considerate. Residents have their own space and independence while treating one another with the warmth and respect you would expect among good long-term housemates. The goal is for everyone to feel comfortable and at home here. COMMUTING & LOCATION BENEFITS Q: Is it easy to commute from here? A: Very easy. The Mountain View Transit Center is directly across from the subdivision, with convenient access to Caltrain, Light Rail, buses, and major tech shuttles. SAFETY & SECURITY Q: What about safety and security? A: Each resident has an individual security alarm code. Downtown Mountain View is active and well lit, with regular pedestrian activity nearby. ROOMS, BATHROOMS, AND FURNISHINGS Q: What comes furnished with the room? A: Each private room includes a premium plush queen mattress, leather headboard, extra-high bed frame with generous under-bed storage, large-screen TV, desk and chair, coat stand, four-speed ceiling fan, and interior privacy lock. Rooms also feature large double-pane windows, blackout wooden shutters, ethernet, high-speed Wi-Fi, recessed dimmable LED lighting, plush carpeting, crown molding, and a fresh-air ventilation system. All premium bedroom furnishings are included at no additional charge. Residents simply bring their own sheets, comforter, pillows, and personal belongings. Small personal furniture pieces are fine, but please do not bring your own mattress. Staging items shown in photos, such as accent pillows, artwork, or decor, are for marketing presentation only. Room layout may vary. Current room furnishings and features can be viewed during an in-person or video tour. Q: What about the bathrooms? A: Your bathroom is typically shared with no more than one other resident. Depending on occupancy, you may have your own private bathroom. UTILITIES, INTERNET, AND SERVICES Q: Are utilities included? A: Utilities are covered through a fixed monthly utility fee added to the rent. Your utility fee remains the same regardless of household occupancy, so you always know your monthly payment. The fee covers PG&E gas and electricity, water, garbage and recycling, and high-speed internet. Q: What household services are provided? A: Weekly cleaning is provided for the kitchen and shared stairwell, the landscaping is professionally maintained, and the home has professional security monitoring. Each resident contributes a fixed $25 per week toward these household services, which is added to the rent for convenience. KITCHEN AND DAILY LIVING Q: What shared areas can residents use? A: Residents have access to the kitchen, kitchen dining area, and their designated resident bathroom. The living room and garage are reserved for owner use and are not included as resident common areas. Q: Will I have my own space in the kitchen and fridge? A: Yes. Each resident has designated cabinet and refrigerator space, plus shared space for common items. The kitchen is spacious, organized, and easy to use. HOUSEHOLD GUIDELINES & PRACTICAL DETAILS Q: What is the guest and occupancy policy? A: Each rental room is intended for single occupancy. To maintain the quiet, comfortable, and predictable environment residents value, resident guest visits and overnight guests are not part of the rental arrangement. Q: Is laundry available at the house? A: On-site laundry is not included with the room. A convenient laundromat is approximately two blocks away, and several local laundry services offer pickup and delivery, including washing, drying, folding, and sorting, starting at approximately $1 per pound. Q: What kitchen appliances are included? A: The resident kitchen setup includes a refrigerator, sink, gas stovetop, and microwave. The oven and dishwasher are not included for resident use. Residents provide their own kitchenware. Q: Is there parking? A: There is no garage access, but street parking is generally readily available near the house. Q: Are pets allowed? A: Although we love pets, this is a pet-free home. Q: What is the policy on smoking, drugs, and alcohol? A: This is a smoke-free and drug-free home. Social drinking is perfectly fine. TOURS & APPLICATION Q: What if I am applying from out of town? A: Video tours are available for applicants relocating to the area. If you have a local friend or family member you trust, they are also welcome to tour the home on your behalf. Q: How does the application process work? A: The application process is simple and straightforward. Once we have connected and you have seen the home virtually or in person, the application and basic paperwork can be completed electronically. For qualified applicants, the process can usually be completed within one business day. If this sounds like a good match for you, feel free to reach out with a brief introduction.
