    This is a very unusual spot and house. It is completely enclosed behind a 7 foot privacy fence on the back of a property, and can be accessed from either Canterbury Street or the alley through locked metal doors. Once you are there, you feel like you are all alone. It is small, unusual, and unique. This was originally a granny house built in the 30's, and some very serious work was done to this little house and the grounds it occupies. Now, it is a very desirable oasis. It only becomes available rarely, and is ready for its next occupant now. Occupancy limit will be 2, and a maximum of 1 pet may be allowed. If it is a dog, it should be small, friendly and neutered. The house has a sleeping area in a loft, which also leads to an upstairs deck. In the main area, it has a fairly large living area, a bathroom, and a kitchen, The kitchen features a very old sign that was from a local cafe, this was built into the ceiling perhaps 90 years ago. The floors are wood (bath is tile flooring). Old wood also dominates the interior walls of this house, along with some newer wood touches that are unusual but seem to fit in quite nicely. See the pictures. However, due to the small size of the rooms, the pictures cannot really reveal the total effect. The house looks great for what it is, if you like something very different, and value quiet and solitude, you may really love it. If you want one of the new condos that are all over the area now, then this is definitely not what you seek. The house is old, but has been well curated. The house should be considered furnished. It has a nice couch and chair and also has a nice desk, an armoire and a chest of drawers, so the downstairs is pretty much complete. The upstairs has a quality mattress which fits into the sleeping area. The house is really best for someone who does not have to bring in furniture, and could work for someone who just has his clothes and personal possessions. The house will come with all bills bundled into an additional $330 per month utility payment. You will not need to get utilities in your name. This package will include electric, gas, water, trash and 2 GBPS internet from Google. Occupant can likely squeeze his car in at the alley right next to the house, where there is a locking metal door for quick access. Occupant also has right to use the laundry machines in utility room of the main house next door, which does not require going through the other house. Occupant can exit the property from the front gate as well as from the alley. While the address is correctly noted, you will not likely see the house from the street, but can drive down the alley and get a partial view of the upper part of the house. The unit is too small for a medium sized or larger dog, though a cat would be fine. A smaller dog may be okay. This is for a 12 month duration. All utilities (gas, water, electric, trash and 2 GBPS Google internet) are bundled into an additional $330 per month payment. No deposit on those is required.
