    What's special

Hotel life got ya down? Let us put ya up!We own a locksmith company know the importance of locking our property up before we regret it. We often hear about motel room break ins along with other property loss issues. The crime rate is low in our neighborhood, but we still provide a burglar alarm with keyless remote, a gun safe which can be used to store items other than guns. We provide a small data safe to keep computer data in then advise our guests to place the data safe inside the larger safe.Access to the property is through a paved alley. The private driveway is just steps away from the long ranch porch. The gate to the driveway is a rolling chain link fence with a lock for extra security. The living room is a comfortable place to sit and watch the flat screen TV complete with cable and WIFI. There is a game table in the large room as well. Two walk-in closets in the living room are used for safe storage and a coat closet.Leaving the living room is a small incline marked with a handrail up to the long, sunny hallway The house is one level except for that small incline. The tub/shower combination is equiped with a handicap bar as well.We are sorry to say the bathroom can not be made handicap accessible. One bedroom is small and has a daybed with pillow top mattress, a vanity, and a large floor to ceiling bookcase filled with baskets to use for storing clothing. Darkening shades make it just right for a day sleeper. The master bedroom has a queen size bed with pillow top mattress and an electric blanket. There is an office area in that room with internet service/ WIFI and a paper shredder. Two separate closets make plenty of room for work and personal use. Room darkening curtains are a must for our day sleepers once again.A small dressing room off the master bedroom with lavatory add extra convenience.A tub with shower and a second lighted sink area in the small bathroom which can be entered through the master bedroom or the kitchen. The large kitchen has all the comforts of home! Full size stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, over size washer, dryer, coffee pot, blender, toaster, a waffle iron to name a few.We added a breakfast table and two barstools. A bistro table and barbecue grill are at the disposal of our guests as well.Amarillo is the right smack in the middle of the Texas Panhandle! When one looks at the map of the United States they see a huge space called" Texas". The Texas Panhandle is the 26,000 square mile Crown of Texas. While Amarillo is not thought of as a large city it really is. We are the commercial hub of the Panhandle. That makes us the pivot point of that crown!Oil, cattle, farming ranching, banking ,wind energy, medicine, convention and tourism are a few of our commercial industries. Amarillo is the Quarterhorse Capital of the world and soon Amarillo will have parimutuel horse race track. Our guest house is about 25 minutes from "the Other Grand Canyon" known as Palo Duro Canyon. The Drama Texas is in that same canyon. We are 15 minutes from the Harrington Discovery Center and about 20 minutes from Wonderland Amusement Park. The Harrington House is about five minutes away. The Amarillo Globe News Center and Amarillo Civic Center are a about 10 minute drive. The Cadillac Ranch is about 15 minute drive. The Big Texan Steak House is 10 minutes away. The night life on old Polk Street is less than five minutes away. Polk Street is the center of the new Center City Project. Historic Route 66 or 6th Street is about 10 minutes away.West Texas A&M University 25 minutes away in Canyon, TX. Amarillo College is a flat 15 minutes from front door to the classroom. One should allow 15 minutes to arrive at North West Texas Hospital, Baptist St. Anthony Hospital,(aka BSA), Veterans Hospital, and Harrington Cancer .Many surgical hospitals are nearby.Being 1 1/2 block north of interstate 40 almost at the I-40 /I 27 interchange makes for easy transportation .
