For as long as I can remember, my husband has wanted to use his years of experience to refurbish an older home. When he got laid off two years ago, we decided there was no better time to make that dream a reality. We found this charming bungalow - it may not have looked like much when we bought it, but we saw all it's potential. We stripped the house to its studs and replaced, installed or updated just about everything, including: * Siding * Insulation (Dow blue board - very energy efficient) * Windows * Heater * A/C * Water heater * Plumbing * Electric * Drywall * Cabinets & fixtures * Ceiling fans * Flooring Neighborhood Description The neighborhood is one of the reasons we picked this house to renovate. It's an established neighborhood with a families of all ages where anyone would feel welcome: recent grads, newlyweds, families with kids, retirees. A lot of the houses in the area have already been or are in the process of being renovated and updated, showing pride in the neighborhood. While we were renovating the house, so many of the neighbors stopped by to welcome us and offer to help - great group of people!
