The apartment is a third floor walkup in a quiet, well maintained, 6 unit building. The apartment can be accessed via a secure front entryway (walk up three flights to arrive at unit) or a secure back entry way (access through a secure courtyard). There is a large laundry facility in the basement that is accessed via a secure door ($1.50 to wash and $1.50 to dry). There is a beautiful, landscaped courtyard that is shared amongst the complex. There is a deck off the kitchen that is large enough for tables/chairs many neighbors utilize this space as an outdoor entertaining area. The windows in the unit area all new and secure. The apartment has been recently renovated and painted; the kitchen was renovated in May 2018 and all appliances, cabinets are new. All rooms have re-finished wood floors and original early 1900 s woodwork. The bathroom is tiled, both floor, half wall, and all of the shower. There is a huge dining room with a large window that overlooks tree tops the window is a great spot for a desk. The living room is large with two big windows excellent for light and a great view of the well maintained neighborhood. There is a large entry way and long hallway that connects the living room and the rest of the apartment. The bedroom is huge large enough for a kind sized bed and all bedroom furniture. The large window in the bedroom provides excellent natural light. There is a coat closet in the entry way (with a vintage mirror built on the door), a large walk in closet in the bedroom, and a walk in pantry in the kitchen. The radiators have been recently refinished with a silver paint and look great in each room. Each window has refinished ledges were many tenants place flowers and plants. Both the front door and back door have secured deadbolts for extra security. I have loved living in this apartment and the views out the windows are amazing. The neighbors are all great and the Graceland West neighborhood is wonderful the homes/landscaping in the area are meticulously maintained and make for a beautiful walking area. The landlord is great and the maintenance team is responsive within 24 hours at max I had a small issue a few months ago and the maintenance team was at the unit providing a fix within an hour. There is a Marianos and a whole foods roughly 1.2 miles away numerous coffee shops and great restaurants are within a 5 minute walk. Roughly a .5 mile walk to the brown line. Rent is $1,225 a month and includes Heat/Water. Tenant is responsible for Gas and Electricity. Our electricity bill in the Summer (Running A/Cs at full capacity) was $90 a month and the gas has been $40. The cable provider we used was Comcast. There is always ample parking outside the building and I believe the yearly permit was $50. The application fee is $250 and there is no security deposit. Rent can be paid online or via check. The unit is pet friendly but there is a max weight restriction (I believe 50lbs) and breed restrictions. Tenant responsible for Gas and Electric
