It was one of the original Oak Ridge houses that was made as an apartment building for 4 apartments. When we purchased it, we made it into a single-family house with a guest suite (mother-in-law apartment). We added new wiring, plumbing, HVAC, metal roof, Hardie Board 50 year composite siding, and lots of insulation. We also added a 10x20 storage building out back. This is a home for the ages!
