He said his grandfather moved there to work on the Creek's Lock System.  Part of the house was a post office as well. The store owners bought ice from the Eddyville ice pond, and channels in the floor were used to drain the icebox. The basement is large, and a section has a high ceiling, check it out.  The owners have lots of information to share with the future owners on all the things they have done to the house.  The rear yard is charming with lots of flowering plants, sitting areas, and small paths.  The barn/garage has ample space for storage and a car or truck, perhaps a small car as well there's a loft too. The historic Rondout waterfront is just minutes away.  Fine dining, marina, museum, art galleries, park, cruise ship excursions (Hudson River Cruises).  It's a great location, just on the edge of the City of Kingston, the entrance to the town of Esopus on the Hudson, and routes to Rosendale and New Paltz.  Come take a look.
