This house has character AND location! Prominently situated on over an acre in the Myers Park area. It is less than two miles to the Florida Capital, Governor Square Mall, Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and many resturants. "Tara" (as our neighbors teasingly call this house, from the movie Gone With the Wind), was built in 2006.We have been the only owners, and are a non-smoking family. The kitchen is a cook's dream!I designed an oversized island specifically for adult entertaining and kids homework projects! The high end appliances are wonderful! The 48 inch Thermador range has a built in indoor gas grill, so you can do all of your barbequing without leaving the airconditioning! Many jumbo chocolate chip pancakes have been made on the built in griddle! The master suite is located on the main floor, with his and her walk in closets, a claw foot bath tub, and white carrara marbled shower with a "rain head." Just imagine soaking in the clawfoot tub, looking out at the blooming flowers! The upstairs guest room and a large bedroom open out onto the upper covered porch. There is a third bedroom facing the back of the house and a huge bonus game room that has held many ping-pong family "tournaments!' This is a friendly neighborhood and has an active neighborhood association. With three parks within walking distance, many neighbors take advantage of jogging, walking the dog or taking the children to play in these parks. One of these parks, called Cascaide Park, has a brand new amphitheater. There have been several outdoor concerts that many people from the neighborhood walked to with a blanket and hors-d'oeuvre. Even though the house is less than two miles to the State's Capital, it is a surprisingly quiet neighborhood. Capital City Country Club is across the street from the house. Many a summers have we spent swimming in the oversized swimming pool. The golf course has beautiful canopy oaks and is played by many!
